Conflicting thoughts about the omegaverse in general

Hi everyone, im a new bl reader (i used to watch gacha life bl in the big 2020s but now im reading proper bls and stuff) I read only a few Omegaverse stories and honestly i dont know why it just feels so wrong to me. (btw if u have any good recs please send!!!) 


Why is it omegas are so hopeless and helpless; like they get heat cycles every month, they HAVE to do it with an alpha, they get affected by really "strong" pherormones then go into heat because of it, and god knows how the biology works but both male and female omegas can give birth to offspring.

I do know its just fiction and for the smut blabla and nothing serious to look into but isnt this just a reflection of our inherent misogyny from our decades long patriarchal society? LIKE WHY ARE OMEGAS SO MISREABLE?! It just saddens me how we see birth givers as this lower position in society. 

It doesn't even make sense because women (or in this context omegas) literally give birth to literal life! And you're telling me they are in the lowest position in society?? And alphas are somehow the top of the clan because theyre dominant and all they do is shove in their "seed" in? 9 minutes of nutting into someone is NOT EQUAL TO 9 months of pregnancy. Being an alpha just sounds like a biological advantage in everyway and being omega is like being cursed in society. Also, like I thought dominance and submission was a social construct? Why is it that your secondary gender controls your literal personality?!?! WHY DOES A SEXUAL GENDER CONTROL WHAT SOMEONE'S PERSONALITY IS? 

Oh and what the fuck do betas even do? Why do omegaverse authors never bother to create any history for the betas? What even ARE betas? Normal people? 

I'm really sorry if my post offends anyone and i know some of you might call me a woke person or whatever and YEAH IM WOKE and reading this conflicts my values. Please let me know about your thoughts, i would like to hear them out. 

Also, those people who think "oh this is just smut nothing serious" It can get serious, because giving birth to literal life shouldnt be looked down upon. Omegas should be more than just being some baby-making sex machines. If they are, then it really shows how we see women in our real society.
